Summer is coming and we all want to travel and relax, why not try a wine taste experience in the well known Wine County. The construction is complete eco-friendly and is part of a winery. It offers a luxury hospitality experience, with a great landscape, located in the middle of 145 acres of rolling hills and grapevines. The hotel has eight units, each featuring recycled and locally – sourced materials, furniture and finishes.
The architect and construction company developed the masterplan and unit design based on the use of recycled shipping containers that are gathered around an existing oak tree in the middle. The grapevines are in nice rows about 8 ft apart, offering breathtaking views over the land and sunset.
The hotel accommodation is composed out of two 20ft shipping containers with a raised deck. There is also a master unit which is proffered by celebrities, freshly married couples and not only, which is made out of one 40ft and one 20ft shipping container. Often the property is sold out since more people love the property and organize events like weddings, parties and business meeting around the oak tree, having their accommodation a few steps away from the party. The great part is that the party is held in the middle of the property, in open space and will have everyone love the gathering.
Each “bungalow” has it’s own covered parking under the unit, while the above open deck offers a delightful view over the vineyard. The materials that the units are built are locally recycled, steel, glass, cement boards, and decking, everything was repurposed to give it a local touch. The roof is ready for solar panels, so each unit will be soon even greener, using the sun not just for the grapes, but also to power the hotel itself.
